Getting Your Golf Swing Speed Up
You have heard lots of people talk about what they do to keep up their golf game but what are the big guys doing that is keeping their game going strong. Professional men women and even the senior circuit are doing golf exercises and they are also using calculations to chart their progress with their new exercises. A golf work out needs to consist of what you do when you play golf. Let's think about that, I am not talking about swearing and throwing your clubs. I am talking about the motion your body makes when you are playing golf it is a swing motion right? A rotational motion, which tends to be awkward for most people, remember when you were first learning how to play golf? It was difficulty to rotate your body that way. Now over the years you have gotten better and you have to admit so has your driver golf swing speed, but what if you want to take it even further how should you go about this? You need strength and flexibility, the two may seem to be polar opposites but in actuality that compliment each other.
Here is how you do some golf exercise first you want to get in your golf posture you know with your knees slightly bent, and you bending your body forward and your hips. Second you need something weighted to help add strength to your routine. This can be done by holding a medicine ball, some hand weights or even using a weighted club. Now take some normal swings start out with about five. This should get you to sweating a little bit remember always when working out talk to your doctor first and no pain no gain is a complete lie. If you are feeling pain then you are one doing it wrong or have done to much your body is saying stop and rest listen to it. This should help you with your ability to rotate your body and it should give you better range of motion but most importantly more golf swing speed. Here is something that I suggest when you are going to do some driving bring your weighted club and do some work with it I would not go as far to say use it exclusively but pick it up ever now and again so that you gain a little strength and flexibility every time you use it. |
